[They're trying the date thing again.

Keith still doesn't think it's something that should require that much work. All they actually need for a date is him and Lance, being together, preferably without getting interrupted by battles or by, uh, whatever happened the first time they tried this. But Lance still wants it to be special, so Keith's going to go along with that.

Not that there's a whole lot he can do to make that happen beforehand, aside from promising himself that he won't fuck this up. Since Lance picked what they're doing again, he lets Lance come to his room again to let him know when he's ready and spends the intervening time vaguely trying to learn the Altean alphabet from a set of cards Coran was all-too-happy to help him put together. (They do live in an Altean castle, it seemed like a useful thing to know.)]

Whatever. Lance is comfortable. And kind of taking up more of his attention than the movie.]

[He hopes Keith is comfortable, too. Lance definitely is, what with his boyfriend and the silly movie.]

[He decides to rest his head on Keith's shoulder, snuggling in a bit.]

[Keith's pretty sure he's okay with that, even if he hasn't quite reached out to Lance yet. The contact they have now is nice. Even if the movie is... well, it sure is a movie.] -This is dumb. [It's called Sharknado, Keith, what did you expect?]

It's a masterpiece of dumb. Do you know how many sequels it got? It got a crapton of sequels, and they just got better and better. One had a lightning-cow-sharknado.

[He shifts the arm around Keith's shoulder a bit in order for him to brush his fingers against the back of Keith's neck.]

[That's not fair. They may not actually be competing at anything right now, but brushing against the soulmark is definitely cheating.] Lightning-cow-sharknado? That's just a bunch of words thrown together, that doesn't even make sense.

[It's not cheating at all! It's just strategizing.]

It started as a sharknado. Then it picked up a bunch of cows. Then it hit power lines and became electrified. It totally makes sense.

[It is so cheating, and Keith would object if it wasn't also working.] I guess it makes as much sense as the Sharknado.

There was also a bouldernado, and a lavanado, and a hailnado, and a nuclearnado...

[He continues to absently rub Keith's soulmark soothingly, even as he rambles.]

I wasn't sure if there was enough booze to get me through Sharknado 4 cause all that is real

Because Pidge is almost as awesome as me? [It's not cruel! And it's natural to want to share everything with your soulmate, right?]
